Cure
Toothache Changing
Your View Of Root Canals
To cure toothache pain you need to be
very careful what you read. I have been reading some strange
home remedy toothache cures lately on the internet.
You may find some temporary cures for
toothache pain in the way of herbs and other medicaments. But
if you have a real toothache you will need professional dental
care for a permanent solution to your problem.
Looking for permanent cures for toothaches in a bottle will
cause you to:
- waste time
- waste money
- become frustrated
- delay needed treatment
I've seen many people in my 20+ years as an endodontist
(root canal specialist) who had tried to cure toothache pain at
home. It simply won't work. Here's what you need to know:
1. To cure toothache pain seek professional
dental care.
The first thing I would like to do is encourage you to seek
professional dental care at the first sign of a toothache. You
may be looking for toothache cures when you don't even have a
dental problem. There are other conditions that mimic a
toothache such as:
- Sinus infection
- TMJ syndrome
- Angina or heart attack
So, before you try to cure toothache pain you need to make
sure you have a genuine toothache. Seek professional dental
care first. Your dentist will perform tests to determine the
source of your pain.
2. To cure toothache pain it requires an inside
job.
Once you know that it is
a tooth problem it is helpful if you understand what causes
so much pain from such a little tooth. Most toothaches are
caused by a diseased tooth pulp.
This is the soft tissue on the inside of your tooth. When
this tissue gets inflamed or infected it can cause pain and
swelling.
The most common causes of pulpal inflammation and infection
are:
- tooth decay
- dental procedures
- cracked teeth
- trauma
Once the pulp becomes badly inflamed or infected it must be
removed. You can't rub
something on the outside of your tooth that will cure toothache
pain.
It's an inside job. The pulp on the inside of your tooth
must be cleaned out.
The cures for toothaches that you will read about on the
internet all rely on getting the gum around the tooth numb.
This will temporarily make your tooth feel
better.
But it will take professional dental care for a permanent
solution. Toothache
cures in a bottle don't exist.
3. To cure toothache pain consider root canal
treatment.
Root canals can save many teeth from extraction. There are
those few teeth that simply cannot be saved due to:
- extensive tooth decay
- severe fracture
- advanced periodontal disease
If your dentist recommends saving your tooth I would
strongly advise you to follow that recommendation. I know you
may have been looking for some natural toothache cures. You
were probably hoping that cures for toothaches could be found
without seeking professional dental care.
Please rely on your dentist if you have an abscessed tooth.
Your dentist will very likely be able to save your tooth with a
root canal crown combination.
I know you've heard root canal stories that make you nervous
about having one. Please know that millions of root canals are
performed each year around the world. Most of these are
successfully (95%) performed and the tooth saved.
I've written The Relaxed Root
Canal in order to help you have a relaxed
root canal experience. I answer more
than 80 questions that I've been asked by patients through the

In Chapter 10 I tell you the ONE
HOME REMEDY NOT TO TRY TO CURE TOOTHACHE PAIN.
This is a very popular home remedy that will make your pain and
swelling worse.
In Chapter 5 I'll tell you the
one question you should ask your dentist
BEFORE you have your root canal. You must
get a YES answer to this question. I'll give you my
recommendation on what to do if you get a NO
answer.
